What We Believe

Our foundational beliefs, and the convictions that follow from them.

What We Believe

Our Faith. Our Foundation. Our Life in Christ.

At Jeevan Church, we are a Spirit-filled, Christ-centered, Bible-believing church. We are part of the Assemblies of God tradition and believe that the Word of God is our foundation and the Holy Spirit empowers us to live and fulfill the mission Jesus has given us.

We Believe in One True God

We believe in one God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of heaven and earth, and He desires a personal relationship with every person.

We Believe in Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He came to earth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again from the dead.

Through Jesus, we receive forgiveness, salvation, hope, and new life.

We Believe the Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, trustworthy and true. It is our guide for faith, life, and godly living.

We seek not only to read God's Word, but to live it and allow it to transform our lives.

We Believe in Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ.

Everyone who places their faith in Jesus can be forgiven, made new, and brought into a relationship with God.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

We Believe in the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is actively working in the lives of believers today.

The Holy Spirit empowers us to live for Christ, gives us spiritual gifts, guides us, strengthens us, and enables us to be witnesses for Jesus.

We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the biblical expression of spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues, prophecy, healing, and other gifts given by the Spirit for the building up of the church and the advancement of God's Kingdom.

We Believe in Water Baptism

We believe that believers should follow Jesus' example and command by being baptized in water.

Water baptism is a public declaration of our faith in Jesus and symbolizes our identification with His death, burial, and resurrection.

We Believe in Divine Healing

We believe that God is our healer.

We pray for the sick and believe God continues to heal and restore lives according to His will. We place our faith in Jesus, our Great Physician, while trusting His wisdom and purposes.

We Believe in the Church

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, made up of believers from every nation, language, culture, and generation.

At Jeevan, we believe our diversity is part of God's design. We desire to be a place where people can worship together, grow together, serve one another, and share the Gospel with our community and the world.

We Believe in the Great Commission

We believe Jesus has called every believer to go and make disciples.

Our desire is to reach people with the Gospel, especially the Indian diaspora and the nations around us, and help people become devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

We Believe Jesus Is Coming Again

We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ.

We live with hope and expectation, knowing that Jesus will return and that God will ultimately establish His eternal Kingdom.

We Believe in Eternal Life

We believe that those who place their faith in Jesus Christ have the promise of eternal life with God.

Because Jesus came to give us life, we want every person to experience the abundant and eternal life found in Him.

Our Foundation

Everything we believe and everything we do flows from one central truth:

Jesus Christ is Lord.

We want to be a church led by the Word of God, empowered by the Holy Spirit, centered on Jesus, and committed to reaching people with the Gospel.

Jeevan means “Life.”

Our prayer is that everyone who encounters Jeevan Church would encounter the life, hope, freedom, and transforming power of Jesus Christ.
